On the occasion of its 39th AGM held in the NCUI headquarters in Delhi, Kribhco bestowed the Sahakarita Vibhushan Award and the Sahakarita Shiromani Award on Maganlal Premjibhai Ghoniya and Ramjan Ansari respectively.
While Ghoniya is from Rajkot, Gujarat Ansari is from Bhabua, Bihar. Both of these men were thankful to Kribhco and dedicated the awards to common co-operators. “It is their recognition”, they said in unison.
A widely travelled man Ansari has dedicated his life to the service of the people. He is a leader who is passionate to serve society by holding various positions in Consumer Cooperative, Housing Cooperative and others, announced the anchor on the occasion.
While receiving the Award Ansari got emotional and chanted “jai ho” for both Sunil Singh, Kribhco Vice-Chairman and its Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh. “Had it been anybody other than Chandra Pal Singh as Kribhco Chairman I would not have got this award. I stand humbled and salute his co-op spirit which transcends party lines”, Ansari was effusive in his praise.
A passionate co-operator Ghoniya established Devchadi Oil Seed Producer Cooperative Society during 1991. Ghoniya has been Chairmen of several cooperative societies like Shivrajgadh Juth Seve Sahakari Mandli, Director, Rajkot District Cooperative Bank and others.
Ghoniya is also credited with setting up a trust to protect cows. The trust takes care of more than 100 desi cows and distributes milk and ghee to the needy people.
Last year, Kribhco bestowed the Sahakarita Vibhushan Award and the Sahakarita Shiromani Award on Mahendra Kumar Nayak and Suresh Patel respectively.
