The fertilizer co-operative major Kribhco and ICA’s regional office ICA AP were born on the first day of the beginning of the Cooperative Week. “It is our birth day”, announced Regional Director Balu Aiyer of ICA AP while participating at a NCUI function in Delhi on Thursday.
Kribhco Chairman, Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav who doubles as NCUI President as well said “Yes, it Is Kribhco’s birth day but everything is subsumed in the Coop Week at NCUI”, Yadav said while waiting in his chamber for the Union State Minister Santish Gangawar to inaugurate the Co-op Week function.
Balu Aiyer in his speech at the NCUI auditorium said it was on the 14th November 1960 that the ICA AP came into being and thus it is an auspicious day for us. Balu also said that co-op has potential for not only doubling farmers’ income but also quadrupling the same. He
cited the example of Amul which has helped farmers’ quadruple their income in just one decade.
