The Kozhikode district cooperative bank is in news for suspending around 60 of its temporary employees working in various branches of the bank. The action has sent chill waves among the employees.
The bank authorities informed the employees over phone on Sunday night that they need not report for duty from Monday onwards, reports Matrubhumi.
Most of the suspended workers are youngsters who were working in the help desk posts. Some of them said they were half-way through their assignments when the marching orders came.
Bank general manager says the decision was taken by the new governing body.
