The Kota District Cooperative Bank held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday at its head office, where the members unanimously approved the opening of a new branch at Chechat Tehsil.
Rajesh Birla, brother of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, served as the chief guest. In his address, Birla commended the bank’s steady progress and emphasized its ongoing efforts to support farmers through the Gram Seva Sahkari Samitis.
During the meeting, the Chairman of Avan Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti and other members expressed concerns regarding the inadequate supply of fertilizers and seeds to farmers.
Balvinder Singh Gill, the Managing Director (MD) of the bank, presented the audited annual accounts, income-expenditure statement, and the budget for 2024-25, all of which were unanimously passed by the members.
The proposal for opening a new branch at Chechat Tehsil, raised by various Gram Seva Sahkari Samitis, was also unanimously approved.
The event was anchored by Rajendra Singh and was attended by Bina Bairwa, Govind Prasad Laddha, Rajesh Meena, Ramswaroop Sandhu, among others.
The meeting concluded with Jankilal Goswami proposing a vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude to all members present.
