Addressing a function of a cooperative bank in Kalyan in Thane district, Maharashtra Governor B.S Koshiari spoke about trust deficit affecting society adversely and called upon people to engage in selfless social services in order to supply it, reports PTI.
The governor said people are losing trust in banks because banks are not functioning transparently and there is a lot of corruption.
The governor also urged cooperative banks to show a sense of social responsibility and be helpful to society.
