The Kisan Sabha has threatened to protest on the issue of low return to dairy farmers. They intend holding demonstrations throughout Maharashtra, beginning mid-June, reports Indian Express.
The Kisan Sabha’s state council has decided to drawing attention to the exploitation and financial losses faced by dairy farmers, who are presently paid Rs 10 to 15 per litre less from the actual Rs 25 to Rs 27 per litre rate by cooperatives and private milk producers.
Kisan Sabha general secretary Ashok Dhawale is quoted saying cooperatives and private milk producers are paying less citing shortage of demand.
