The Asia’s largest cooperative bank- Kerala State Cooperative Bank CEO Jorty M. Chacko met with NABARD Chairman K.V. Shaji at the NABARD Regional Office in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday.
During the meeting, Chairman Shaji emphasized the importance of implementing stronger control mechanisms within rural cooperatives.
He stressed the need for quarterly Management Information System (MIS) reports, their evaluation, effective financial audits, and the establishment of early warning signals to monitor and mitigate risks.
On this occasion, Chairman Shaji also congratulated Kerala State Cooperative Bank for receiving the Performance Excellence Award from the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB), recognizing the bank’s outstanding achievements in the cooperative sector.
