The support to Kerala flood victims keep pouring with fertilizer major Kribhco joining the bandwagon. After IFFCO, now Kribhco has donated a cheque of Rs 44,25,748 to the Kerala’s Chief Minister Relief Fund.
Kribhco officials such as its MD N.Sambasiva Rao personally handed over the cheque to Puneet Kumar, IAS, Resident Commissioner, Kerala government at Kerala Bhawan in New Delhi.
In a press release sent to Indian Cooperative Kribhco said it had appealed to its employees and officials to donate their one-day salary towards Kerala’s Chief Minister Relief fund”.
It bears recall that several cooperatives have earlier donated essential items as well as money to the Kerala Chief Minister flood relief fund. ULCC, IFFCO and several UCBs have contributed to the Fund.
Cooperators have also demanded govt soft loan for the farmers affected by the flood. Campco leaders have written letters to the Centre and to the CMs of two states Kerala and Karnataka seeking a sympathetic approach towards the victims.
