Kerala’s Consumerfed will open 1,600 Onam markets across the state which will sell 13 items at cheaper rates for 10 days beginning Aug 29th and ending on Sept 7, reports New Indian Express.
Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is scheduled to inaugurate the initiative at the state level on Aug 29. The district-level inauguration will be held on August 30.
The initiative is intended to control the upward price development during the Onam season.
