Kerala Chief Minister says the state Cooperative Department will spend Rs 75 crore on constructing 7,000 houses under care home project in the flood ravaged areas, reports Express News Service.
To begin with, 1,500 families will be provided with homes.
Local cooperative bodies having expertise in construction or cooperative bodies with strong financial background will be involved in making these homes.
The houses will have a minimum space of 600 sq. ft. and people with engineering skill will also help in the construction work.
Among several co-ops, ULCCS and IFFCO contributed Rs 25 lac each to the Kerala CM fund earlier.
