The BJP govt in Himachal Pradesh is yet to order the inquiry into loans distributed by Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB) during the Congress government, reports Tribune.
Sources say the vigilance inquiry had revealed irregularities in the distribution of loans but the BJP govt. is not taking any action for reasons best known to it.
Those familiar with the bank’s affairs say the scam has caused enormous losses to the bank but the govt’s refusal to act against functionaries responsible for the fraud is incomprehensible.
It is worth repeating that when in opposition the BJP had charged that various loans given then were irregular and in violation of the banking norms.
