Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation President M N Rajendra kumar has said all cooperative societies in the state will be provided with air-conditioning facilities to modernize their offices, reports Deccan Chronicle.
In his inaugural remarks at a special training camp for presidents and managers of agriculture co-operative societies in Belagavi division, he said the offices of co-operative societies would be equipped with high technology and the staff would be imparted training in modern skills to enable them to compete with the corporate system.
Karnataka State Co-operative Customers’ Federation President G P Patil expressed his unhappiness at the inability of co-operative societies to measure up to the standards set by multi-national companies.
Speaking on the occasion, Bagalkot DCC Bank President Ajaykumar Sarnayak underlined the importance of promoting co-operative stalls like Janata Bazaar.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion.
