The Karnataka chapter of Sahakar Bharati organized a two-day training program for women cooperators at Mysore last week, in which 203 women from 23 districts attended the program.
On this occasion, National Organizing Secretary Sanjay Pachpor, Patron Ramesh Vaidya, Karnataka Chapter Sahakar Bharati Vice-President Krishna Reddy, office bearers of state Sahakar Bharati and others were present.
During the training program, a 90-year-old cooperator shared her 63 years of experience in the cooperative sector and spoke about many cooperatives started in different sections.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, National Organization Secretary Sanjay Pachpore called for the greater participation of women in the cooperative sector.
He called upon cooperatives to create more and more co-ops in the field of education, tourism and health. There is a need to organize such training programs.
