PACCS in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts in Karnataka will level with the South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank offering banking services in rural areas, reports Hindu.
As a result of it, the cooperative network in the two districts will expand with 178 PACCS and 102 branches of SCDCC Bank.
All PACCS will have the core banking system and ATMs. The decision in this regard was taken recently at a consultative meeting of presidents and secretaries of PACCS.
A source says PACCS would also lend home and vehicle loans on the lines of SCDCC Bank. And PACCS members would get Rupay debit cards.
