Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Thursday that his government is committed to showcasing the state’s top-quality milk products globally. This follows the announcement that the Scotland cricket team has named Karnataka-based Nandini dairy as their official sponsor for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the US.
Siddaramaiah described this as a “significant step” toward making Nandini a global brand. He emphasized the state’s determination to highlight both the quality of its milk products and the hard work of its farmers. Siddaramaiah also shared a photo of Scotland captain Richie Berrington wearing a jersey with the Nandini logo.
The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is the second largest dairy cooperative in India and the largest in South India, comprising 16 Milk Unions that serve the entire state.
