Panvel police in Mumbai Metropolitan Region has booked 76 office-bearers of Panvel-based Karnala Nagari Sahakari Bank for swindling Rs 512.54 crore masked as loan payments, reports Hindu.
The bank’s several functionaries including chairman, vice-chairman, CEO and board of directors and a former MLA Vivekanand Patil figure in the list of the accused.
The police has taken action following a complaint lodged by Raigad district special auditor, who had looked into the bank’s transactions of the last four months.
