Talking to media persons, Kangra District Cooperative Bank Chairman Kuldeep Pathania said that the Bank’s NPA has been reduced from Rs 1227 crore to Rs 1204 crore in the 2022-23 financial year.
He further informed that the Bank is grappling with the shortage of staff and there have been no new recruitments in the bank since the year 2016. Promotion has been done on various posts so that the work of the bank is not affected.
“The post of General Manager of the bank had been lying vacant for the last several years. It is only due to efforts of the bank staff, the NPA has come down from 32 percent to 24 percent”, he asserted.
