Himachal Pradesh Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has put the finishing touches to its inquiry report on bad loans given by Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB) during the previous Congress regime, reports Tribune News Service.
Sources say the report charges bank managers, members of loan sanctioning committee of the previous board of the KCCB and evaluators with a criminal conspiracy for giving bad loans that cost the bank huge losses.
The anti-corruption bureau inquired into the scam on the basis of charges leveled by BJP before the Assembly elections. There are reports most of the loans given then have turned out to be NPAs.
It is being heard on the grapevine that several indicted persons are associated with former Congress leaders in the state.
