Ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, the State Congress President Kamal Nath released the manifesto, named ‘Vachan Patra’ recently, making a slew of promises including giving 50 percent reservation to women in cooperative societies, among others.
The opposition congress listed 59 promises in its 106-page manifesto, with promises for all sections of society including cooperatives, farmers and others.
Kamal Nath announced to give a 5 percent per liter bonus on purchase of milk through cooperative societies and 100 percent supply of urea will be ensured through the cooperatives.
Nath also announced waiver of farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh and farmers will be given a Minimum Support Prices of Rs 2600 for wheat and Rs 2500 for paddy.
The election in Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to be held on November 17.
