The management of Himachal Pradesh-based Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank has adopted the zero-tolerance strategy and started taking action against those officials who indulge in irregularities.
In the recent case, the bank has suspended Nisha Rani who was the former branch manager of Shanti, and the Naudi branch, who has been found guilty of embezzlement charges.
Rani has been accused of cheating the three self-help groups and the women associated with these groups had lodged a complaint to vigilance in 2018. And the officials of vigilance started enquiring in the matter.
She has been found guilty in many cases including issuing a loan of five lakh rupee to a woman by preparing fake documents while holding the post of Naudi branch manager.
