Media outlets report that GCMMF Managing Director R S Sodhi met Governor of J&K Satpal Malik and apprised him of the plans of AMUL to expand dairy-related development activities in the state in collaboration with the JKMPCL- the apex dairy cooperative body in J&K.
The JKMPCL has a network of 450 village dairy co-operative societies with 17,000 milk producers in the state.
The governor underlined the importance of quality milk supply to consumers by milk cooperatives. He said J&K has high potential to develop in the dairy sector.
