Jitendra Bahadur Singh has been elected as the new Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, in an election held on Friday last week. Besides, Manish Sahani was elected as the Vice-Chairman of the bank. Singh hails from Gorakhpur district and is the son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Late Vir Bahadur Singh. He replaced Teejveer Singh.
Reacting to this, Singh wrote on his twitter wall, “Today, with the blessings of my late father, I was elected as the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Ltd. and took oath. I express my immense gratitude to Honorable Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, Honorable Cooperation Minister JPS Rathore Ji, Honorable State Vice President Shri Brij Bahadur ji and all the top leadership”.
Later, talking to the Indian Cooperative Singh said, “We will work together to strengthen PACS and DCCBs. We will bring professionalism and upgrade the latest technology in our banking activities. Besides, we will create awareness about the recently launched initiatives of the Union Ministry of Cooperation at the grassroots level”.
“Besides, the B-PACS Membership Campaign is coming up with good results and till now 20 lakh new members have been added to different PACS”, Singh informed.
