During Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the headquarters of NCUI last week, one of the GC members from Manipur, Jina Potsangbam met him and apprised him on the current situation in the state.
Jina had earlier informed the Indian Cooperative about the suffering of the field project staff in the wake of the communal riots in the state. Jena says even some of the co-op banks’ buildings have been razed in the state.
Potsangbam had also met NCUI President and sought help from him for the co-op bodies of the state.
Expressing satisfaction with her meeting with Shah, Jina said that the Minister heard her out patiently and promised to intervene in the matter.
