After getting relieved as the General Manager of Garhwal (Kotdwar) District Cooperative Bank on Monday, Manoj Kumar has taken over the charge as the full-fledged Chief Executive Officer in Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank.
Kumar has been appointed as the CEO for a period of three years on a contract basis. He had taken the charge from Accounts Manager Rajesh Kumar Tiwari.
Soon after taking the charge, an enthusiastic Kumar who has long experience in the cooperative banking sector, contacted Indian Cooperative and shared the information.
It is worth mentioning that Kumar had started his career at Pithoragarh DCCB as a senior branch manager. Later on, he joined as a deputy general manager in Nainital and Chamoli District Central Cooperative Bank. He also worked as General Manager in Tehri DCCB.
Meanwhile, the bank is without management, and administrator Neha Arora has been overseeing the activities of the bank for the past several months. But the preparations for conducting the elections in the bank are underway.
Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank has a deposit base of Rs 2041 crore and loans and advances of Rs 538 crore. The bank earned a net profit of Rs 17.99 crore in the 2021-22 financial year. The gross and net NPA is 18.54 percent and 8.29 percent respectively.
