Cooperative model of development could dent basic poverty, remedy economic backwardness and boost rural economy said Abhaykant Prasad Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank chairman while addressing recently the 4th foundation day of the National Credit Cooperative Society in Deoghar.
Praising the efforts of the society, Prasad said more and more people should become members of the cooperative and benefit from its activities.
In his remarks on the occasion, the society Chairman Vimal Kumar informed, that the society has more than 5k members and provides loans at a negligible rate of interest to the borrowers. The society also encourages its members to start their own businesses, he said.
Cooperators like Ramesh Yadav, Shiv Kumar Chaudhary, Amit Anand and many others attended the function.
