Bihar’s cooperator and Asthawan MLA Jitendra Kumar has been elected as the Chairman of Nalanda District Cooperative Bank.
In the election held on Monday, Pankaj Kumar was elected as the Vice-Chairman. Kumar got 45 votes.
Jitendra Kumar got 152 votes whereas his rival the outgoing Chairman Amrendra Kumar received 107 votes.
As soon as the names were announced, their followers lost no time in congratulating them for their victory. The social media was flooded with congratulatory messages.
It was Jeetendra Kumar who played host along with Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh when a group of co-operators led by the NCUI President Dileep Sanghani visited Nalanda a few years ago.
