Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune organizes customer meet in Kolhapur

As part of its Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations, Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd. Pune hosted a special ‘Customer Conclave’ on August 18, 2024, at Vrindavan Hall, Ayodhya Hotel, Kolhapur. The event, which ran from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., was organized for the customers and members of the bank’s Kolhapur and Uchgaon Gandhinagar Road branches.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanjay Shete, President of the Kolhapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who served as the chief guest. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries, followed by tributes to Rajshree Shahu Maharaj and the bank’s founder, Shri Moropant Pingle.

Mr. Uday Kulkarni, Branch Manager of the Kolhapur branch, welcomed the gathering and recounted the bank’s 75-year journey, emphasizing the achievements of the Kolhapur and Gandhinagar branches. Assistant Branch Manager Mr. Parag Kulkarni provided insights into the bank’s various programs and important milestones through a PowerPoint presentation.

The chief guest, Mr. Sanjay Shete, was honored by Chairman Mr. Ravindra Hejib during the event. Several long-standing customers shared their experiences and memories with the bank and were felicitated by the chief guest and other dignitaries in recognition of their loyalty.

Among the attendees was Hon. MP Mr. Dhananjay Mahadik, a valued customer of the bank since 1996. He praised the bank’s consistent support, noting that every business venture of his began with an account at Janata Bank, which has played a significant role in his success.

Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jagdish Kashyap expressed his gratitude to all account holders and members for their unwavering support, which enabled the bank to surpass the Rs. 15,000 crore business milestone. He assured that the bank remains committed to enhancing customer service and expanding its product offerings.

Chairman Mr. Ravindra Hejib remarked that the large turnout at the event demonstrated the strong bond customers have with the bank. Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Shete lauded the bank’s impressive growth, from Rs. 5,000 crore in 2005 to over Rs. 15,000 crore in 2024.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Bank Director Mr. Shrikant Potnis and a Pasayadan recitation by Mrs. Chaitrali Sahasrabuddhe. The event was attended by over 400 customers, members, and well-wishers.
