Ravindra Hejib has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune whereas Alka Petkar re-elected as the bank’s Vice-Chairman, in an election held on Monday at the bank headquarters.
The election was held under the supervision of Anand Katake who has been appointed as the returning officer.
Despite several phone calls, the efforts to take the reaction of the newly elected Chairman have failed so far.
Readers would recall that the elections of the board directors were also held unopposed. In the new board, out of 17 elected directors, 4 are from the outgoing board and the remaining are newcomers.
The bank’s total business mix is more than Rs 14,000 crore. The deposits are of Rs 8900 crore and loans and advances of Rs 5100 crore. The bank earned a profit of Rs 75 crore in the 2021-22 FY.
