According to reports coming in from Rajasthan, the National Sahakar Masala Mela organized in Jawahar Arts Center in Jaipur from 10th to 20th May was a huge success as the residents of the city bought masalas worth more than Rs 1.50 cr.
For encouraging the cooperatives, Registrar of Cooperative Societies Dr Neeraj k Pawan honored co-ops with citations and mementos.
Pawan said ”the products of cooperative institutions will be made available at cooperative stores soon. We will also made efforts to provide the products of co-op societies of neighboring states to the common men under one roof.”
The Registrar further said that ”In our state more than 3 crore people are directly associated with cooperatives. With these fairs, an awareness about cooperatives among the general public is increasing. This also helps cooperatives increase their business.
Pawan honored the best performing cooperatives on the occasion. Kribhco has been honored with the First Prize whereas Markfed, Kerala got the second position at the national level.
