Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will lay the foundation stone for a bio ethanol plant of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) being set up at Sarvepalli (Nellore district) today on Thursday.
He will lay the foundation stone virtually in which Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh and other senior directors and officials of the fertilizer co-op titan will also participate.
The project is estimated to cost around Rs 300 crore with a plant capacity of 250 KLD.
It is said that the plant, to be set up on 100 acres of land, will employ 400 people. The land for the plant was given earlier.
It bears recalling that the Modi govt lays great emphasis on bio-ethanol and also gives sops for its development. Shah has, in his speech in the past, lauded Kribhco for its initiative in this direction.
