The Andhra Pradesh government will soon sign a deal with Amul to promote the dairy sector in the state, reports PTI.
Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed his officials to prepare the guidelines for the MOU with the Gujarat dairy cooperative.
Official sources say the agreement will be signed by July 15.
Those familiar with the dairy sector in the state believe working together with Amul will help Andhra Pradesh develop better marketing facilities and access modern technology.
The chief minister also indicated that steps would be taken to improve the situation of sugar cooperatives in the state.
