Making peace with NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar whom he had challenged as a BJP candidate in the 2004 election, Prithviraj Jachak the former chairman of the Maharashtra State Cooperative Sugar Factories Federation will join the NCP, reports Indian Express.
The coming elections to the Shree Chhatrapati Cooperative Sugar Factory Limited Bhavaningar, Indapur has led to both leaders seeking a rapprochement.
Prithviraj’s father was one of the founders of the factory. Sources say, Prithviraj joining NCP will likely boost NCP’s political fortunes.
