The introduction of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus and IFFCO Nano DAP has yielded promising results in apple cultivation across Kashmir. Senior fruit scientists from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science & Technology, Srinagar, have observed notable improvements in various aspects of apple production.
According to their feedback, the application of these nano fertilizers has led to a significant increase in leaf and fruit size, fruit firmness, colour, and taste, ultimately enhancing the overall yield by 10%. Furthermore, profitability for farmers has surged by 20%.
The experimental trials were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ashiq H. Pandit, Head of the Division of Fruit Science, who organized the program in collaboration with senior officials from IFFCO.
During a recent visit, Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director of IFFCO, toured the experimental fields and interacted with the scientists to review the results of the nano fertilizers on apple crops.
The success of this initiative marks a significant advancement in the use of innovative agricultural practices, particularly in the challenging horticultural landscape of Kashmir.
The positive outcomes reported from these trials highlight the potential of nano fertilizers to revolutionize apple farming, offering a sustainable and profitable solution to growers in the region.
