Haryana chief minister says the state govt will make efforts to ensure all cooperative bodies in the state are run on professional lines to earn profit, reports Business Standard.
The chief minister said this in a meeting held to review the functioning of the cooperative sector.
According to a govt press release, the Chief Minister has asked officials to involve professionals and experts in the functioning of cooperative sugar mills in particular in the state.
The chief minister has also called for technological modernization of cooperative sugar mills operating for the last 40 years.
It was announced in the meeting that HAFED has earned net profit of Rs 38.06 crore for the financial year 2015-16 whereas Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank gained a profit of Rs 23 crore.
