In these days of Pandemic which is expected to remain in some form or the other for next 2/3 years, we as Co-operators should take special steps to build at local level Medical / Health Infrastructure and make available services at affordable rates to all citizens, said Satish Marathe unveiling the focus of International Co-op Day which falls on 3rd July.
“This year, we are organising a Special Programme on International Co-operative Day which falls on Saturday, 3rd July, 2021 (Ist Saturday of July each year) from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm. The programme will also be live on Facebook Page of Sahakar Bharati”, reads a press release sent by Sahakar Bharati.
Padma Bhushan Dr Nandkishore S Laud, eminent Orthopaedic Surgeon who has devoted long years for successfully running Shushrusha Citizens Co-op Hospital will be the Keynote Speaker on the occasion.
Dr K T Channeshappa, Executive Director, National Coop Devp Corp (NCDC) will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
It bears recalling that NCDC has formulated a Special Scheme for providing Financial Assistance to existing and upcoming Co-op Hospitals, Coop Clinics, Co-op Diagnostic Centres, etc.
There are several successful Models of Coop Hospitals in various Countries. However, such facilities are not available across India, barring the State of Kerala.
