Indian Cooperative in new avatar

Indian Cooperative the popular cooperative news portal which attracts nearly one lakh hits a day has donned a fresh look starting this month.

“Staleness and the boredom of constant repetition are universal and especially newspapers, magazines and portals have to be at work fighting them out”, said Indian Cooperative editor Ajay Jha about the new look of Indian Cooperative. “We had been there with the old look for nearly one year and it is time we infused some vigour and sophistication in presentation”, Mr Jha added.

Enumerating the changes the Editor said the refashioned home page provides far more space for stories. The increase is to the tune of 30 per cent.

While some of the older features have been retained, some newer ones have been added. Important news makers such as NCUI , Urban Cooperative Banks and the largest farmers’ cooperative IFFCO have been given separate space on the homepage.

But this does not mean that other sectors have been overlooked, Mr Jha hastened to add. All the categories news and stories are very much on the home page and easily accessible.

Another new feature is the archive. Now a reader can smoothly navigate himself to the month and year of the stories published.

”But a new look is good only if the readers appreciate it. Indian cooperative would welcome any suggestions for changes or further improvement in the design. We have always held it is your portal and you can keep it the way you want”, Jha said in a tone of appeal.
