Gajender Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Mr Sergey Beletskiy, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Russia addressed the India-Russia Agriculture Business Summit 2018, held at PUSA, New Delhi.
Another celebration for 70 years of Agricultural Relationship between the two countries took place in Suratgarh, Rajasthan on Wednesday. These were parts of the country-wide year-long celebrations of India-Russia Diplomatic Relations, read a govt release.
Several business houses and leaders of business associations of both countries, working in the agriculture sector attended the event. This will strengthen exchange of expertise to further business ties between the two countries, stated the govt sources.
Apart from presentation by both countries that highlighted agricultural trade opportunities, there were intense discussions about areas of collaboration and trade in the fields of agriculture machinery and other related issues.
The Russian and Indian delegations also visited Central State Farm (CSF) in Suratgarh, Rajasthan. CSF was set up in 1956 with assistance from the erstwhile USSR.
