IFFCO promoted Multi-State Cooperative Society- Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative Limited (IFFDC) is transforming the lives of families living in rural areas.
IFFDC has installed solar based safe drinking water units and solar street lights under the IFFCO-Tokio Intergrated Rural Development Project. So far it has covered 9 villages of Assam and Rajasthan and more than 1300 families are getting benefits from the project., claimed IFFDC.
Sharing the news through social media, IFFDC wrote, “1376 families are benefitting with Solar based safe drinking water units and Solar street lights installed by IFFDC under IFFCO-Tokio Integrated Rural Development Project in 9 villages of Assam and Rajasthan”.
IFFDC came into being in 1993 with the prime objective of developing wasteland for tree plantation and enhancing the socio-economic status of rural poor through sustainable Natural Resource Management by collective action. Empowering rural Women has been at the centre of its strategy, claims its website.
