The valedictory session of the 1st Youth Cooperative Research Conference, organized by the NCUI was presided over by Santosh Kumar Shukla, Co-op Relation Officer at IFFCO. The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from young researchers, reinforcing the role of youth in strengthening the cooperative movement.
Themed “Cooperatives: Key for Achieving SDGs,” the event highlighted the vital role of cooperatives in attaining the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 90 applicants under the age of 40 submitted research papers, out of which a distinguished jury selected 20 young scholars to present their work at the conference.
Shukla commended the active engagement of young minds in cooperative research and emphasized the need to integrate youth perspectives into policy-making and cooperative initiatives. He stressed that empowering young researchers in the cooperative sector will drive innovation and sustainability.
The event, supported by IFFCO, NCUI, and other cooperative bodies, served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among emerging scholars in the field. With a focus on research-driven solutions, the conference reaffirmed the importance of cooperatives in fostering economic and social development.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Cooperation’s vision of youth empowerment in the cooperative sector, ensuring a progressive and inclusive future for cooperative enterprises in India.
