IFFCO’s Joint Managing Director Rakesh Kapur addressed the opening session of IFA Technical symposium, held in New Orleans, USA from 8-11 April 2019. Kapur spoke on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and their implications for the future of fertilizer production, among other issues.
IFFCO MD, Dr U S Awasthi shared the news and said “Industry players must always keep in mind that today farmers need a cohesive solution, in place of several applications inflating his total costs”.

Participation in the event historically comes from senior leaders from the IFA membership. Last year it was held in Madrid. Speakers explored the issues with the highest potential to bring about significant changes in the fertilizer industry and fertilizer production through the 2030-time horizon.
It was a two-day conference with side events, exhibition and it also offered networking opportunities. It saw participation of approximately 180 technical leaders from 40 countries, including the IFA Executive Board.
