With a view to creating jobs, Orissa govt has approved proposal of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperatives (IFFCO) to set up a railway siding at Paradip station, reports Times of India.
IFFCO would spend Rs 63.55 crore on the railway siding which will create at least 100 jobs. The railway siding will cover an area of 49 acres, claimed a govt official.
Sources said IFFCO will allow other companies as well to use the railway siding. The railway siding to be come up at an area of 49 acres is expected to be completed in next 14 months.
The decision was taken by state level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) led by chief secretary A P Padhi.
