IFFCO came to the rescue of local administration in Odisha when it supplied several medical emergency items which included nebulizers, oxygen cylinders, masks, sanitizers, among others.
The Paradeep Plant of IFFCO in Odisha was approached by the local administration, which in turn contacted the Corporate office for the same.
Confirming the development, R P Singh, HR & Legal Head of IFFCO said to Indian Cooperative that medical items worth Rs 8 lakh was provided to the Odisha local administration on their demand.
“Though there is scarcity of medical items across the country, we requested our time-tested suppliers to deliver the items and they obliged us”, Singh said. Singh also said that all the medical units of IFFCO are active tackling the medical emergencies arising out of the Corona scare.
In this moment of national emergency, we are only too happy to support the state or central govt, said Singh who has been made nodal officer by IFFCO MD to tackle the challenges being faced by IFFCO units across the country.
