The production and sale of IFFCO Nano Urea in 2022-23 (up to 27th July 2022) was 109.5 lakh bottles and 96.6 lakh bottles of 500 ml respectively.
In the 2021-22 FY, production was 290 lakh bottles and sale of 215.2 lakh bottles of 500 ml of Nano Urea, this was shared by the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizer Bhagwanth Khuba in a written reply in parliament.
“To boost the indigenous production of Nano Urea, two Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) namely National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), under administrative control of the Department of Fertilizers, have signed Non-Disclosure Agreement and MoU with IFFCO for the transfer of Nano Urea technology. Khuba added.
Besides, IFFCO exported 3.06 lakh bottles of 500 ml of Nano Urea to Sri Lanka in 2021-22 and 0.6 lakh bottles to Nepal in 2022-22 (up to 27th July 2022). The import of urea has increased from 59.75 lakh metric tonne in 2017-18 to 91.36 lakh metric tonne in the 2021-22 FY, he informed.
