Indian Farmers fertilizer cooperative (IFFCO) is supporting the “Digital India” scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as is evident from its Phulpur unit located in Uttar Pradesh soon developing into a Smart Township.
The township of the Phulpur unit is equipped with solar system and Wi-Fi facilities. IFFCO Managing director Dr. U S Awasthi had drawn the blueprint for the project.
This information was gathered from the Face Book wall of IFFCO PR Head Mr Harshendra Verdhan. Harsh has also posted an article of local daily detailing the facilities that would be available in this smart city. It is a project of Rs 10 to 15 crore.
The IFFCO Phulpur unit has its own township made for the employees and officers of the unit. The township has 8 quarters with more than 600 employees living in them.
