A tweet by IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi reveals that IFFCO Paradeep has surpassed all past records of production for the month of October 2015. The Phosphoric acid plant having a capacity of 2650 tonnes per day of “P2O5” is the World’s largest plant.
Hailing the unit and its senior officer MD tweeted “ Congrats 2 #IFFCO Paradeep for surpassing all targets in October @akpanda55 @klsingh_k”.
A K Panda-the Sr. General Manager is the head of the Unit. The fertilizer complex at Paradeep also has two large sulfuric acid plants having a capacity of 3500 tonnes per day each and three streams of DAP plant having a capacity to produce 1.92 million tonnes of DAP annually.
IFFCO’s Paradeep unit in Odisha has been in news in the past for bagging several national and international awards. CII had recognized it for its work in the field of energy management and conferred national award on it.
Earlier, IFFCO Paradeep unit has won the prestigious Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 2013 for outstanding achievements in the field of Environment Management. It also bagged Kalinga CSR Award — 2011 by the Odisha govt.
