Giving boost to the idea of going greeen IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi inaugurated Solar Energy Unit in IFFCO’s Aonla Plant on Wednesday. Besides being clean and non-polluting, solar power is also cheaper.
Awasthi who was on a routine trip to the UP based Plant also met engineers at Aonla unit and discussed issues related to the production of Urea and Ammonia. Later, he posed for a group photograph with his proud team.
IFFCO has been on solar energy drive for a long time. Earlier, IFFCO commissioned a 235 KWP Solar Power Plant at its Phulpur unit in Uttar Pradesh. It also commissioned 50 Kwp Solar Power Plant at Surender Jakhar Bhavan in Gurgaon in Haryana.
IFFCO had also installed solar plant street lights in adopted villages and offered to fund researches in cost effective storage of solar power due to unavailability of Sun in the night.
Keeping pace with national as well as global imperatives of switching over to the renewal mode of energy, IFFCO MD said that we are committed to protecting environment.
Awasthi shared his experience of Aonla Unit by tweeting “Today I am visiting #IFFCO #Aonla plant in #Bareilly. During my visit I inaugurated the #Solar Energy Unit in the Plant. #IFFCO is very much in favour of #GoGreen & tapping the #renewable sources of #energy in its all #Fertiliser units & offices”.
In another tweet he wrote, “I met engineers at #IFFCO #Aonla plant. Discussed with various points related to production in #Urea & #Ammonia Plants. Inspected the control rooms of each plant”.
