After visiting various cities of Bihar IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi arrived in Purnia-a city close to the boarders of Bangladesh. It was the 43th destination of his pan-India Connect Farmers’ Campaign.
Awasthi began his interaction with the local cooperators and farmers after hosting a cooperative flag. “Today inaugurated the IFFCO Farmer and Cooperative conference in Purnia, Bihar. In the beginning hosted the flag”, he wrote on social media.
Later, he visited various stalls set up on this occasion by subsidiaries of IFFCO to educate farmers on cashless
transaction and other schemes of IFFCO.
During his tour IFFCO MD ensures that these stalls are setup to educate farmers and provide them with information on agriculture-related matters.
In a separate tweet he wrote “In Purnia IFFCO had set-up a health check up camp for the farmers. Health is necessary”.
