IFFCO marks 57th Foundation Day with commitment to farmers

November 3 marked the 57th Foundation Day of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), the world’s largest cooperative dedicated to farmers and the cooperative movement.

Managing Director of IFFCO Dr U S Awasthi extended heartfelt greetings to all members of the IFFCO family, cooperatives, and farmers, emphasizing IFFCO’s commitment to continuous growth and service to the agricultural community.

Founded in 1967, IFFCO began with just 57 cooperative societies, a number that has now grown to over 40,000. Over its 56 years, IFFCO has developed into a robust ecosystem offering products, services, and support systems promoting fairness, transparency, and sustainability.

IFFCO has also pioneered new products, including the innovative IFFCO Nano Urea and IFFCO Nano DAP, marking a new era in sustainable fertilizers.

On this occasion, MD called for unity in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Prosperity through Cooperatives,” with the support of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

With its commitment to advancing agriculture through cutting-edge solutions, IFFCO remains dedicated to supporting farmers and strengthening India’s cooperative sector, underlined Awasthi.
