The two fertilizer cooperative giants, IFFCO and Kribhco, are playing a significant role in training women on how to fly drones.
As per the data of the Union Ministry of Cooperation- IFFCO and Kribhco have trained 371 and 70 women so far respectively.
It is gathered that these women are trained under the government-backed ‘Drone Didi’ programme.
The scheme aims to help modernize Indian farming by reducing labour costs, as well as save time and water in an industry hamstrung by its reliance on age-old technology and growing climate change challenges.
