IFFCO: Khatri clocks 10,000 km wooing voters!

Trying his luck and putting in his best Sunil Khatari, Haryana cooperator claims to have clocked in 10 thousand kilometers so far meeting delegates seeking votes for himself at the IFFCO Board elections slated for tomorrow on Friday.

There are 47 voters spread across Haryana and Delhi and I am trying to approach each of them, said Khatri sounding confident of victory at his maiden attempt. Khatri is trying to unseat Prahlad Singh who is a member of the outgoing Board.

More than 30 voters have assured me of their help and as the D day is drawing close, I am witnessing sort of a wave sweeping in the favor of me, said Khatri with a twinkle in his eyes. But he adds in the same breath that Prahlad Singh is a dear friend and that the contest would be friendly.

Khatri is in an advantageous position also because Prahlad Singh had been a minister and is facing an anti-incumbency factor in Haryana. People are unhappy with him and this may affect his election, observers aver.

Today is the day for withdrawal of nomination papers and the list after withdrawal is likely to be published in the evening. On 10th the election of the board of directors will be held. Khatri is from one of the five seats where voting may take place.
